Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. Announces Price Increase

BRIDGEVILLE, PA, February 25, 2000 -- Universal Stainless &Alloy Products, Inc. (Nasdaq:USAP) announced today that it willincrease transaction prices by 5% on all stainless steel forgingquality ingot, billet and bloom products effective with ordersplaced March 6, 2000. According to Company officials, theincrease is required to offset higher raw material and energycosts.

Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc., headquarteredin Bridgeville, Pa., manufactures and markets semi-finishedand finished specialty steels, including stainless steel, toolsteel and certain other alloyed steels. The Company'sproducts are sold to rerollers, forgers, service centers andoriginal equipment manufacturers, which primarily include thepower generation and aerospace industries.
